WITH “DRIVING” FORCE,
the 2013 SJCH Foundation Golf
Tournament was created to launch the Transportation Program for
The AIS Cancer Center at San Joaquin Community Hospital (SJCH).
The event raised $43,000 in net proceeds for this very worthy cause!
Offering transportation services to AIS Cancer Center patients
was crucial in ensuring free rides to and from appointments.
With the success of the golf tournament held April 22, 2013, at the
Bakersfield Country Club, that program continues to thrive.
This year, the SJCH Foundation Golf Tournament—set for
November 10, also at the Bakersfield Country Club—will benefit
The AIS Cancer Center at SJCH. The money raised will help The AIS
Cancer Center with equipment, education and transportation.
This way, the event will make an even greater impact, accord-
ing to Kevin Burton, SJCH Foundation president and executive
director.
“We were so happy to establish the funds needed for The AIS
Cancer Center Transportation Program, and we’ve seen how that
has lessened our patients’ burden, knowing they won’t have to
worry about how they’ll get to their appointments,” Burton said.
Just like last year, the day promises to be filled with great golf,
great food, and an auction with great gift items and special deals!
World long-drive hitter Frank Miller will also be returning this
year! To sign up, sponsor or donate to the 2014 SJCH Foundation
