Two new firsts for San Joaquin Community
Hospital (SJCH): Healthgrades® has named us one
of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care™
and one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Coro-
nary Intervention™.
We’re certainly honored by these latest recogni-
tions—and it speaks to SJCH’s long history of be-
ing Kern County’s leader for heart care. Yet we’re
most proud of what it means for our patients and
community. It’s about what happens here every
day—the lives saved.
According to Healthgrades, cardiac patients
treated at hospitals designated an America’s
100 Best Hospital for Cardiac Care have, on average,
a 29 percent lower risk of dying than if they were
treated in hospitals that did not receive the award.
Patients treated at hospitals receiving the Amer-
ica’s 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention™
Award have, on average, a 45.4 percent lower risk
of dying than if they were treated in hospitals that
did not receive the award.
